#EXTM3UDefinition
The #EXTM3U directive identifies an Extended M3U playlist. It normally appears as the first meaningful line before entries that use #EXTINF metadata.

Place it once at the start of the document. Some applications accept global attributes on this line, but those extensions are not portable across every player.
Common mistakes
- Using typographic quotation marks instead of straight quote characters.
- Changing identifiers during bulk edits without updating related EPG data.
- Assuming every IPTV player implements optional metadata in exactly the same way.
